I called you in a time of need – my finger was recovering following surgery – and you immediately responded with care, compassion and professionalism. Your work was wonderful. I never thought that a splint could be a work of art, but now I know better.

My left thumb joint was painful and partially disabled by osteoarthritis. Joanne molded a splint (that) has changed my life. It holds my lower thumb joint immobile and provides it with a hard shell which effectively eliminates all pain. With the splint, I can do most of my regular activities without pain and without stressing other joints in compensation. I wear the splint all day, every day and it is so comfortable. My specialist, a rheumatologist, said that Joanne’s splint was particularly well made, one of the best that he had seen.

I was given an appointment the next day, you listened carefully to my problem and brainstormed to design a splint that would suit my needs. I’m happy to say the splint worked like a charm. I was able to complete the fifty or so Christmas concerts I had booked and my finger has healed nicely.

What you may not know is how much care and attention Joanne takes to ensure your comfort and ability to use those worn out thumbs. (With) the thumb splints, I am able to play my beautiful bari sax in a big band and still do the work in the garden that I like to do. I must say, they are a great conversation starter if you have trouble striking up a conversation. Give them a try.
